
The 89th Annual Dinner of the Association was held, following a gap of a year, aboard the ss “Great Britain” with our President Nigel Fletcher in his final year of office.
The after dinner entertainment being provided by local G P, Television Celebrity & entertainer, Dr. Phil Hammond.

Approach to the Old Lock and Weir.
The 4th August saw the return of the Association’s social scene since lockdown, with a somewhat belated, Bristol City Docks & River Avon Cruise. With the weather fair, some 40 + Members and their guests participating in the evening.
The cruise commenced with the party embarking at Welsh Back for the initial cruise through the “Floating Harbour” before entering first the old Netham Lock and Hanham Lock into the River Avon. The party were greeted with a welcoming refreshment at the Riverside Venue, The Old Lock & Weir, by the Host, quickly followed by a buffet of Curry, Chilli and Burgers.

Due to the cancellation of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers 2020 Annual Award Ceremony last October the Presentation of the Bristol Maritime Trade Award for education within the Institute, in memory of our Past President Edward Renshaw, took place using the Zoom platform on the 23rd March 2021.
